Description

The Aruna is a 100cm wide mirrored wall clock built from five separate mirror panels arranged in a stepped formation on an MDF backing board. The central panel carries the clock mechanism and printed black numerals at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock positions, with black metal hour and minute hands. The mirror panels create a layered, architectural profile that catches light from different angles throughout the day.

Designed as a feature clock for living rooms, hallways and large bedrooms, the Aruna needs a clear wall span of at least 110cm width and 100cm height to allow visual breathing space around the stepped edges. The silent quartz movement operates without ticking noise, making it suitable for bedrooms and home offices where audible clock ticking would be intrusive. The 14.7kg weight requires secure wall fixings into masonry or studs rather than plasterboard alone.

The mirrored surface reflects surrounding décor and light back into the room, giving the clock a dual function as both timepiece and decorative mirror. The stepped panel arrangement creates a three-dimensional profile with approximately 2cm projection from the wall, with each panel edge catching light to outline the form. The white MDF backing visible at the edges provides a clean frame against both light and dark wall colours.

Frequently Asked

Does the clock tick audibly?

No. The Aruna uses a silent quartz movement, so there is no audible ticking. This makes it suitable for bedrooms and quiet spaces where traditional ticking clocks would be disruptive.

What battery does it take?

Standard wall clocks of this type typically use a single AA battery for the quartz movement. Check the mechanism housing on the reverse for the specific battery type required.

How is it mounted?

At 14.7kg the clock requires secure wall fixings into masonry or wooden studs. Plasterboard fixings alone will not support the weight safely. The reverse of the MDF backing board will have keyhole slots or D-rings for hanging.

Can the mirror panels be cleaned?

Yes. Use a standard glass cleaner and a soft microfibre cloth, wiping gently to avoid streaking. Clean the mirror panels while the clock is on the wall rather than removing it, as repeated removal stresses the fixings.
