The Aruna is a 60cm three-tier suspension light built around a polished chrome drum frame hung with vertical crystal rods arranged in staggered layers. Nine E14 bulbs sit within the structure, each positioned to cast light through the surrounding crystal and create refracted ambient glow across the tiers. The rods hang from three circular chrome rings at different heights, forming a 32cm vertical cascade suspended from a polished chrome ceiling canopy.

Designed for dining rooms with ceiling heights above 2.6m, double-height entrance halls and open-plan living spaces where vertical volume needs filling, the Aruna works as both ambient light source and architectural feature. The 60cm diameter suits tables 140-180cm long or open ceiling voids above staircases where the tiered silhouette can be appreciated from multiple angles. The crystal rods catch and scatter light from the E14 bulbs, softening the output and reducing glare while maintaining brightness across the room.

Each tier uses a different rod count and length to create the stepped profile, with the longest rods forming the outer tier and the shortest at the centre. The polished chrome frame reflects light back through the crystal and provides structural rigidity to support the 14kg combined weight of frame, rods and bulbs. The vertical rod arrangement allows air circulation through the fitting, reducing heat build-up around the bulbs compared to enclosed drum pendants.

The chrome finish pairs with both cool contemporary palettes and warmer traditional schemes where polished metal is used as an accent. The crystal used is clear glass rod, cut to length and polished at both ends, rather than faceted droplets — this gives clean vertical lines when unlit and continuous sparkle when the bulbs are on.

Can the suspension height be adjusted?

The suspension cable can be shortened during installation by an electrician to suit the specific ceiling height and desired drop above furniture. Once installed, the height is fixed unless the cable is re-terminated.
