Aruna 6 Light Chandelier - Polished Chrome

The Aruna is an 80cm diameter chandelier with six E14 bulb positions arranged across a polished chrome frame, surrounded by multiple tiers of suspended glass rods that cascade in a stepped waterfall formation. Each tier holds dozens of vertical glass rods cut to graduated lengths, creating a layered cylindrical silhouette that diffuses light outward and downward when the bulbs are lit.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and stairwells with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Aruna provides both ambient and decorative lighting across a 2.5-3m table or floor space. The 44cm drop from canopy to base tier allows the chandelier to sit 600-700mm above a dining table in a standard 2.4m ceiling room when the chain is adjusted, or can hang lower in double-height spaces to fill vertical volume. The polished chrome canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and the chain conceals the cable run.

The glass rods are clear and untinted, so the light colour depends entirely on the bulb choice — warm-white E14 LEDs at 2700K give a soft amber glow through the glass, while cool-white LEDs at 4000K create a crisper, more contemporary appearance. The polished chrome frame reflects both natural daylight and artificial light, amplifying brightness during the day and adding sparkle when the chandelier is lit at night. At 13.6kg the fitting requires a reinforced ceiling fixing point capable of supporting at least 20kg.

What bulbs does it take?

The Aruna uses six E14 small Edison screw bulbs, each up to 40W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most buyers pair this with 4-6W warm-white LED candle bulbs at 2700K for a soft ambient glow through the glass rods.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 44cm drop is fixed, but the chain length is adjustable on installation. For a dining table the chandelier typically sits 600-700mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. Higher ceilings allow the chandelier to hang lower for greater visual presence.

Is the ceiling fixing reinforced?

At 13.6kg the Aruna requires a ceiling fixing point capable of supporting at least 20kg. Standard plasterboard ceiling roses are not sufficient — the fixing must locate into a joist or use a specialist heavy-duty ceiling anchor rated for the load.

How are the glass rods cleaned?

Dust builds up on the rods over time, dulling the light output. Wipe each rod with a dry microfibre cloth every few months. For deeper cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but dry immediately to avoid water marks. Do not use glass cleaner sprays while the chandelier is hanging — the residue drips onto lower tiers and the chrome frame.
