Description

The Knightsbridge SUR5 is a 1500mm linear LED luminaire with an integrated 45W LED array producing 4200lm cool white light at a 110° beam angle. Built from pressed steel with a matt black finish, the fitting measures 1500mm long by 200mm wide and 45mm projection from the ceiling. The wide beam casts even light across open-plan offices, classrooms, retail floors and corridors without visible hotspots or shadow banding.

Designed for dual mounting flexibility, the SUR5 fits directly to the ceiling as a surface-mounted batten or can be suspended on cables using a suspension kit (sold separately). This allows the same fitting to be specified across different ceiling types and room layouts — surface-mounted where ceiling height is limited, suspended where higher ceilings benefit from bringing the light source closer to the working plane. The IP20 rating suits standard indoor environments; the Class I earthing requires connection to mains earth on installation.

The matt black powder-coat finish absorbs reflections and pairs with modern commercial interiors where dark ceilings or accent features are used. The pressed steel construction gives rigidity across the 1.5m span without needing internal support brackets. The integrated LED has a typical lifespan exceeding 30,000 hours, reducing maintenance frequency compared to fluorescent tube systems. The fitting meets Eco Design and ErP compliance standards for commercial lighting efficiency.

Is the LED dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and runs at full 4200lm output when switched on. Pairing it with a dimmer switch will not dim the output and may damage the LED driver.

Can it be surface-mounted and suspended?

Yes. The SUR5 includes fixings for direct surface mounting to a ceiling. For suspended installation a separate suspension kit is required (sold separately by Knightsbridge). Both mounting methods use the same luminaire body.

What colour temperature is the cool white LED?

Knightsbridge cool white LEDs typically sit between 4000K and 5000K. Refer to the specification sheet in the Downloads tab for the exact colour temperature rating for this model.

Is a suspension kit included?

No. The fitting is supplied with surface-mount fixings only. If you need to suspend the luminaire from the ceiling on cables, purchase a compatible Knightsbridge suspension kit separately.
