The fitting takes a single G9 bulb (sold separately) and mounts flush to exterior walls with a 65mm projection from the wall surface.

Designed for porches, garden pathways, patio walls and building façades, the Prism provides functional illumination in both directions simultaneously — the upward throw highlights architectural features or softens eaves, while the downward wash marks steps, doorways and ground-level obstacles. The transparent satin-finish Pyrex diffusers soften the G9 bulb output without blocking it entirely, creating a balanced glow rather than a hard spotlight effect.

The IP44 rating protects the internal components against solid objects above 1mm and splashing water from any direction, making the fitting suitable for covered outdoor locations such as under eaves, porches and canopies. It is not rated for full weather exposure without overhead shelter. The die-cast aluminium body and powder-coated finish resist corrosion in typical UK coastal and urban environments, and the fixture carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux.

The grey finish provides a neutral backdrop that pairs with both traditional rendered masonry and modern cladding materials. Does it cast light up and down simultaneously?

Can it be fitted to brick or rendered walls?

Yes. The backplate has fixing points for standard masonry wall plugs and screws. The 65mm projection from the wall allows enough clearance for cable entry behind the backplate. Fixings are not included.
