Description
The Eveready 50W LED floodlight delivers 5,250 lumens at 4000K cool white through an integrated LED array behind a tempered glass lens. The die-cast aluminium housing carries an IP65 rating, protecting the internal components against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction, which allows the floodlight to operate outdoors year-round in UK weather conditions.
Designed for driveways, rear gardens, loading bays, car parks and commercial yard lighting where wide-area illumination is needed after dark, the floodlight casts a 120° beam angle that covers approximately 15-20m² from a typical 3-4m mounting height. The quick-fix bracket on the rear of the housing allows the floodlight to be angled up or down once wall-mounted, giving flexibility to aim the beam at ground level or higher up a building facade depending on the application.
The 240mm x 195mm faceplate sits 32mm deep when wall-mounted, and the entire unit weighs 680g, light enough to be supported by a single masonry anchor point on brick or blockwork. The die-cast aluminium construction dissipates heat from the LED array without requiring active cooling, and the black powder-coated finish resists corrosion in coastal and urban environments. The 50W draw on 230V mains produces 105 lumens per watt, placing this floodlight in Energy Rating F under the current UK labelling scheme.

Frequently Asked
Can this be used in bathrooms or wet rooms?
The IP65 rating protects against water jets, making it suitable for outdoor use and bathroom Zones 1, 2 and 3 (not Zone 0, which is submerged). However, this is a floodlight designed for outdoor security and area lighting rather than decorative interior use.
What area does the 120° beam cover?
From a 3-4m mounting height, the 120° beam angle typically covers 15-20m² of ground area. The exact coverage depends on the angle of the bracket and the mounting height — higher placement increases coverage but reduces light intensity at ground level.
Is the LED replaceable?
No. The LED array is integrated into the floodlight housing and is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for 25,000 hours of operation, which equates to approximately 25 years at 3 hours per night.
How is it wired and installed?
The floodlight connects to 230V mains via a cable gland on the rear of the housing. The quick-fix bracket allows the unit to be wall-mounted and angled on installation. A qualified electrician should complete the installation and wiring to comply with Part P Building Regulations.
