Description
The Energizer Smart WiFi Plug is a single-gang 13A smart socket adapter that fits between a standard UK wall socket and any appliance plug, adding remote on/off control via the Energizer Smart app on iOS or Android. The plug connects to 2.4GHz WiFi networks and responds to voice commands through Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and Apple Siri Shortcuts, allowing lights, fans, heaters and other appliances to be switched remotely without rewiring.
Designed for home automation of non-dimmable appliances, the plug suits table lamps, floor lamps, coffee machines, fans, phone chargers and other devices where simple on/off control is needed rather than dimming or speed adjustment. The scheduling function in the app allows appliances to turn on or off at set times, which is useful for simulating occupancy when away from home or for turning off devices that are often left on standby. Group control allows multiple Energizer plugs to be switched together as a single virtual device.
The compact white plastic housing measures 57mm wide, 57mm tall and 61mm deep when plugged into a wall socket, sitting flush enough not to block adjacent sockets in a double-gang faceplate. The plug is rated for 13A loads up to 2,990W and operates across a temperature range of -20°C to 40°C, though it is rated for indoor use only and should not be used in bathrooms, outdoor sockets or other damp locations.

Frequently Asked
What devices can I control with this smart plug?
The plug works with any appliance that has a standard UK 3-pin plug and draws up to 13A (2,990W). It suits table lamps, floor lamps, fans, coffee machines, phone chargers and other devices that need simple on/off control. It does not support dimming or variable speed control.
What WiFi network does it need?
The plug connects to 2.4GHz WiFi networks only. It will not connect to 5GHz WiFi bands. Most home routers broadcast both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks — ensure your phone is connected to the 2.4GHz network during setup, then you can switch your phone back to 5GHz afterwards.
Can I use it in a bathroom or outdoors?
No. The plug is rated for Zone 3 (dry indoor locations) only. It is not IP-rated for damp or wet environments and should not be used in bathrooms, outdoor sockets or garages where condensation may occur.
Does it work with voice assistants?
Yes. The Energizer Smart app integrates with Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and Apple Siri Shortcuts, allowing voice commands to turn connected appliances on or off once the plug is set up in the app.
