Description

The Energizer Smart 5m RGB LED strip light combines warm white 3000K lighting with full-colour RGB modes, controlled via the free Energizer Smart app (Tuya platform). The 5-metre length is cut-to-size at 10cm intervals, allowing tailored fitting to under-cabinet runs, shelf edges, TV backlighting or outdoor feature lighting. An IP65 rating protects the strip against water jets, making it suitable for bathrooms (Zones 1-3), covered outdoor patios and kitchen splashback zones.

Voice control works with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri via the Tuya Smart app integration. The app handles on/off switching, dimming, colour selection across the RGB spectrum, scheduling and group control of multiple strips. The plug-and-play setup requires no additional controller box beyond the included mains adapter, and the strip arrives with adhesive backing for direct mounting to clean, dry surfaces.

The strip draws 1.5W per metre at full brightness, giving a total 7.5W power draw across the full 5m length. The 150-degree beam angle from the surface-mounted LEDs provides wide wash lighting rather than directional spot effects. Lumen output varies depending on the selected colour mode — warm white 3000K delivers the highest output for functional lighting, while saturated RGB colours prioritise visual impact over brightness.

The IP65 silicone coating protects the strip from moisture and dust but does not make it submersible — it suits damp locations but must not be installed underwater or in areas subject to continuous spray. The coating adds flexibility, allowing the strip to follow curves and corners during installation without cracking the LEDs.

Does the strip need a separate controller box?

No. The strip operates via plug-and-play with the included mains adapter. All control (on/off, dimming, colour selection) runs through the Energizer Smart app or voice assistants once the strip is connected to your Wi-Fi network.

Can it be cut to fit shorter lengths?

Yes. The strip has cut marks every 10cm along its length. Cut at the marked points to fit the exact length needed for your installation. Once cut, the unused portion cannot be reconnected without additional connectors.

Is it suitable for bathroom installation?

The IP65 rating makes it suitable for bathroom Zones 1-3 (around sinks, mirrors, general bathroom areas). It is not rated for Zone 0 (inside showers or baths where it would be directly subjected to water spray or submersion).

The kit includes the 5m LED strip with adhesive backing, a mains adapter, and setup instructions for pairing with the Energizer Smart app. The app is a free download from Google Play or the App Store.
