Description

The Energizer 50W LED floodlight delivers 4500 lumens at a 6500K daylight colour temperature through an integrated LED array housed in a slim-profile aluminium body with IP65 weatherproof protection. The unit runs on 230V mains power, consuming 50W to produce 90 lumens per watt efficiency, and mounts via an adjustable bracket that allows the beam angle to be set after installation.

Designed for driveways, building facades, car parks, construction sites, and perimeter security lighting where high-output white light is needed after dark, the floodlight casts a 120-degree beam that covers wide areas from a single mounting point. The IP65 rating protects internal components from rain, dust and windblown debris, making the unit suitable for year-round outdoor exposure in the UK climate. The bracket accepts both wall and ground mounting configurations.

The aluminium heat sink runs along the back of the unit, dissipating LED heat through passive convection without requiring a fan, keeping the fixture silent during operation. The prismatic diffuser across the front face spreads light evenly across the beam width, reducing harsh centre-spot intensity and giving more uniform coverage at ground level. At 1.08kg the floodlight is light enough for single-person installation on brick, block or timber substrates using standard fixings.

The 6500K daylight temperature produces a cool white light that renders colours accurately and provides high contrast for CCTV cameras and motion sensors. The non-dimmable LED driver starts instantly on switch-on with no warm-up delay, making the floodlight suitable for PIR-controlled security applications where immediate full brightness is required.

Can this be used with a PIR motion sensor?

Yes. The floodlight is non-dimmable and starts instantly on power-up, making it compatible with standard PIR motion sensors and photocell controls. Wire the sensor inline with the mains supply according to the sensor manufacturer's instructions.

What does IP65 mean for outdoor use?

IP65 provides complete protection against dust ingress and protection against water jets from any direction. The floodlight can be installed in exposed outdoor positions and will withstand rain, snow and hose-wash cleaning.

How wide an area does the 120-degree beam cover?

At 3 metres mounting height, the 120-degree beam produces a roughly 5-6 metre wide coverage pool on the ground. Mounting higher increases coverage width but reduces light intensity at ground level.

Is the bracket adjustable after installation?

Yes. The quick-fix angled bracket allows the floodlight head to be tilted and angled after the bracket is fixed to the wall or ground mount, so you can adjust the beam direction without remounting the fixture.
