Description

The Aura is an LED outdoor wall light in a matt black finish. It sends light in two directions through a pair of hardwearing polycarbonate tubes, each with an opal inner and a clear outer, so the glow reads softly upward and downward from a compact fitting. The form is clean and vertical, sitting close to the wall, and the black finish works quietly against brick, render or timber cladding.

The fitting measures 130mm high by 95mm wide and weighs 0.65kg. It carries two integrated LED lamps, drawing up to 5W each and 10W in total, giving 729 lumens at a warm 3000K colour temperature. The LEDs are supplied with the fitting, so there are no bulbs to buy separately. It is rated IP54, which suits it to exterior use in normal weather, and it is non-dimmable. This is a Class 1 fitting and should be installed by a qualified electrician, with a permanent switched supply.

The bi-directional light makes the Aura a good choice for framing a front door, lighting a porch or marking a path along a garden wall. It can also be used indoors where a similar look is wanted. Because the light is fixed and warm, it settles into most settings without drawing attention to itself.
