Description

The LED Fire Rated Chrome Downlight is an adjustable recessed light with a die-cast body and an interchangeable aluminium bezel in a chrome finish. It uses a citizen LED light source, with the LEDs set back into the fitting to reduce glare when you look up towards them. Because the head adjusts, you can angle the light to wash a wall, pick out artwork or aim towards a task area rather than simply pointing straight down.

The downlight measures 90mm in diameter and holds a single integral LED, so no separate bulb is needed. The maximum fitting wattage is 8.5W, giving 605 lumens at a warm 2700K colour temperature. It is dimmable and comes with a trailing edge dimmable driver, so you can set the level to suit the room. The fitting is rated IP20 for interior use and is Class 1, and it carries a BS476 fire rating for use in ceilings that require it. It weighs 1.10kg, and the LED lamp is supplied with the fitting.

This is a practical choice for kitchens, hallways, living rooms and bedrooms where you want warm, controlled light without visible glare. The adjustable head makes it useful in spaces where you need to direct light at a particular spot. As with all our lighting, you order it directly from us, and we recommend a qualified electrician for installation given the Class 1 wiring and fire rating. If you need a compatible trailing edge dimmer switch, that is bought separately. The chrome bezel can be swapped for other finishes in the bezel range where available, so you can match the downlight to the rest of your fittings and keep a consistent look across a room or throughout the home.
