Description

The Austen wall light brings together two finishes, satin nickel and matt black, on a single fitting that does more than light a room. The backplate carries a main light and a flexible arm reading light, so you can direct a soft glow just where you want it. It comes with a taupe rectangular shade, which is included in the price. The overall look is neat and considered, with practical features built in rather than bolted on.

The fitting measures 460mm high and 260mm wide, and weighs 2.39kg. It takes 2 x E27 lamps, one of which pairs with an LED, up to a maximum of 15W each and 18W for the fitting overall. The LED reading light gives a warm 3000K colour with 936 lumens. Two switches on the backplate let you control the lights separately. There is also a USB port and a device pad with a wireless charging point, so a phone can rest and charge beside you. The light is non-dimmable, rated IP20 for interior use, and Class 1. Please note the shade is supplied but the lamps are not, so you will need to buy 2 x E27 lamps to suit.

This suits a bedside setting, a reading corner or a spot in a study where you want light and a place to charge close to hand. The reading arm makes it a good fit anywhere someone likes to read late.
