Description

The Knightsbridge SF2GMW is a 2-gang modular faceplate in matt white that accepts either two 25x50mm euro-modules or one 50x50mm euro-module behind a screwless steel cover plate. The 87.5mm square plate sits 4.3mm proud of the wall once fitted and uses a clip-on cover that hides all fixings, leaving a clean matt white surface with no visible screws.

Designed for custom AV, data and telecoms installations, the faceplate allows you to combine HDMI, USB, RJ45 Ethernet, coaxial TV, telephone and other euro-module inserts in a single wall plate. The two-gang configuration gives flexibility to mix connections — for example, pairing an HDMI module with a dual USB charger, or combining two RJ45 Ethernet ports for a home office data point. Euro modules are sold separately and clip into the faceplate from the front once wiring is complete.

The premium-grade steel construction provides structural rigidity that prevents the plate from flexing when modules are inserted or cables are plugged in. The matt white finish is a powder-coated surface that resists fingerprints better than gloss white and pairs with standard white electrical accessories across residential and commercial interiors. An integrated gasket between the cover plate and the wall improves the fit and prevents the plate rattling once installed. The required back box depth depends on the specific euro modules used — shallow modules may work in a 25mm box, while bulkier HDMI or USB modules typically need 35mm depth.

The faceplate accepts either two 25x50mm euro-modules or one 50x50mm euro-module. Common modules include HDMI, USB charging ports, RJ45 Ethernet, coaxial TV, telephone, speaker terminals and blanking plates. Modules are sold separately and clip into the faceplate from the front.

What back box depth is needed?

The required depth depends on the euro modules used. Shallow modules like blanking plates or telephone sockets may fit in a 25mm box, while bulkier modules such as HDMI, USB chargers or dual RJ45 Ethernet typically need a 35mm back box. Check the specification of your chosen modules before installing the back box.

How does the screwless cover attach?

The cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame that is screw-fixed to the back box. Once the sub-frame and modules are installed and wired, the cover plate clips over the front, hiding all fixings and leaving a clean matt white surface.

Can the cover be removed after installation?

Yes. The cover plate can be unclipped from the sub-frame without disconnecting wiring, allowing you to redecorate around the plate or swap modules in future without rewiring from scratch.
