Description

The Knightsbridge 45A DP cooker switch combines a 45A double-pole isolator with a 13A switched socket and two USB-A charging ports (5V DC 2.4A shared output) behind a smoked bronze screwless faceplate with black insert. The 45A switch isolates both live and neutral lines to a cooker or range, while the 13A socket and USB ports remain independently switched for powering smaller kitchen appliances and charging devices.

Designed for kitchen installation next to cookers, range cookers and ovens, the unit provides isolation for maintenance or cleaning without needing to switch off the entire kitchen circuit at the consumer unit. The 45A rating handles total loads up to 10.35kW on a dedicated cooker circuit, whilst the 13A socket adds a 3,120W outlet for kettles, microwaves or other worktop appliances. The dual USB-A ports share a 2.4A output, suitable for charging phones and tablets whilst cooking.

The smoked bronze finish is a dark metallic bronze with a low-sheen surface that sits between matt black and polished bronze in tone. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame, hiding all fixings behind the faceplate once installed. Both the 45A switch and the 13A socket carry neon indicators that glow red when the respective circuit is live, providing visible confirmation that the cooker or socket is switched on. The unit requires a 47mm minimum back box depth and is certified to BS 4177, BS 1363-2 and EN 62368-1.
