Description

The Knightsbridge 20A 1-gang DP switch provides double-pole switching for fixed appliances such as water heaters, immersion heaters and other high-draw devices requiring dedicated 20A circuits. The switch isolates both live and neutral lines when turned off, offering additional safety over single-pole switching for appliances that remain permanently wired. The smoked bronze screwless faceplate measures 87.5mm square with a 4.3mm projection from the wall once fitted.

Designed for residential and light commercial installations, the switch fits a standard UK 25mm minimum back box depth and uses a screwless cover plate that clips onto a separate metal sub-frame. This means there are no visible screws or fixings on the wall once installed, giving a cleaner finish than traditional screw-fixed plates. The built-in gasket between the faceplate and sub-frame improves seal quality and reduces movement once clipped into place.

The smoked bronze finish is a dark grey-brown metallic tone that sits between gunmetal and bronze, offering a warmer alternative to matt black or polished chrome. The premium-grade steel construction and screwless design pair well with contemporary and industrial interiors where visible fixings would disrupt the wall finish. The matching rocker sits flush with the faceplate aperture when in the off position. Certified to EN 60669-1 and rated IP20 for dry indoor locations.
