Description

The Knightsbridge 13A fused spur unit provides a switched connection for fixed appliances such as ovens, heating systems and immersion heaters, fitted behind a smoked bronze screwless faceplate with a matching fuse holder. The unit is certified to BS 1363-4 and rated for 13A at 230V 50Hz, handling loads up to 2,990W on a dedicated circuit.

Designed for residential and commercial installations where fixed appliances need isolation without removing a plug, the fused spur sits flush to the wall with a 4.3mm projection from the faceplate. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to a 25mm minimum back box, leaving no visible fixings on the wall once installed. The built-in gasket between the plate and wall improves the seal and prevents the plate from rattling on uneven surfaces.

The smoked bronze finish is a dark metallic tone with subtle brown undertones, closer to gunmetal than traditional brass. The premium-grade steel construction gives the faceplate rigidity and a consistent finish that resists fingerprints better than polished metals. The fuse holder clips out from the front of the unit for fuse replacement without removing the faceplate or accessing the back box wiring.

The 13A rating suits most fixed appliances including electric ovens, heating panels, immersion heaters, boilers and wall-mounted extractors. Any appliance drawing up to 2,990W on 230V can be connected via this unit.

Can the fuse be replaced without removing the faceplate?

Yes. The fuse holder clips out from the front of the unit, allowing fuse replacement without removing the screwless cover plate or accessing the back box wiring.

What back box depth is required?
