The Tsunami is a 1.7m sand white LED floor lamp built around a slender vertical column topped with a 250mm diameter acrylic diffuser housing an integrated 25W 3000K LED. The LED delivers 1950 lumens through a 120° beam angle, providing ambient room lighting from floor to ceiling. A separate tubular reading light sits at the base of the column, offering focused task light without affecting the main uplight.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and home offices where both ambient and task lighting are needed, the Tsunami functions as a single fitting that replaces a traditional floor lamp plus a separate reading light. The 250mm circular base footprint requires minimal floor space, and the 5.25kg weight gives stability on both hard floors and rugs. The uplight washes ceilings and upper walls, making low-ceilinged rooms feel taller, while the base reading light directs downward onto a book, tablet or keyboard.

The sand white finish on the metal column and base is a warm off-white with subtle beige undertones, sitting between pure white and cream. This makes it compatible with both cool-toned contemporary interiors and warmer traditional schemes. The acrylic diffuser softens the LED output to reduce glare, and the 3000K colour temperature matches tungsten incandescent warmth. No. The integrated LED is not compatible with dimmer switches and operates at full 1950lm output when switched on. The reading light and main uplight switch independently, allowing partial lighting control.

Can the reading light be used on its own?

Yes. The tubular reading light at the base has a separate switch from the main uplight, so it can be used independently for task lighting without activating the ambient ceiling wash.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The 1.7m height works in rooms with standard UK ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The uplight beam washes the ceiling and upper walls, making the fitting most effective in rooms where there is at least 700mm between the lamp top and the ceiling.

How bright is 1950 lumens?

1950lm is equivalent to approximately 150W of tungsten incandescent output, sufficient to provide primary ambient lighting in rooms up to 20-25m². For larger spaces the Tsunami works as supplementary lighting paired with ceiling fittings.
