Description

The Phuket is a wall-mounted LED reading light with a 300mm adjustable arm finished in matt white, ending in a rectangular LED head with polished chrome trim. The integrated 7W LED delivers 600 lumens at 3000K warm white through a diffused panel, and brightness is controlled by a touch-sensitive dimmer mounted on the base plate. The dimmer stores the last brightness setting in memory, so the light returns to your preferred level each time it's switched on.

Designed as bedside reading lighting, the Phuket mounts above or beside a headboard, with the arm angling the light down onto a pillow or book. The 300mm arm projection from the wall allows the head to extend over a typical headboard depth and be positioned close to a reader without glare. The touch dimmer is located on the base plate where it can be reached from bed without leaning forward to access a cord switch or remote. The low-brightness setting provides enough light for late-night navigation without disturbing a sleeping partner.

The matt white finish on the arm and base blends with white or neutral walls, while the polished chrome trim around the LED head adds a small accent that pairs with chrome bedside lamps, door handles, or mirror frames. The light draws 7W on mains power and produces minimal heat, so it can be left on for extended reading sessions without overheating the fitting. The arm pivots at the base joint, allowing the head to be angled vertically through approximately 180 degrees to suit different headboard heights and reading positions.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The Phuket uses an integrated LED module rated at 7W with an expected lifespan of 25,000-30,000 hours. The LED is not user-replaceable — when it reaches end of life, the entire fitting is replaced. At typical use of 3-4 hours per evening, this equates to 15-20 years.

How does the touch dimmer work?

The touch-sensitive dimmer is located on the base plate. A short touch toggles the light on or off. Holding your finger on the sensor cycles the brightness up and down through the range. When you release, the brightness is stored in memory and the light will return to that level next time it's switched on.

Where should it be mounted for bedside reading?

Mount the base plate 600-800mm above mattress level, 100-200mm to the side of where your pillow sits. This positions the light head within easy reach and allows the arm to angle the light down onto a book or tablet without shining into your eyes.

Can it be fitted to a hollow wall?

Yes, provided you use appropriate fixings for the wall construction. The fitting weighs 0.68kg, so standard plasterboard cavity anchors or hollow-wall fixings rated to 5kg are sufficient. Solid walls can use standard screws and wall plugs.
