Description

The Ora is a single-light wall fitting with a sculptural ABS body finished in high-gloss automotive-grade red lacquer, paired with a polished chrome base and an opal glass diffuser. The body curves outward from the wall in a flowing organic form, measuring 310mm tall with a 240mm projection from the wall surface. A single E27 bulb (CFL included) sits behind the opal diffuser, spreading light across the curve of the red body.

Designed for accent lighting in living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and reading corners, the Ora provides soft ambient light rather than focused task illumination. The 130mm width and 310mm height suit wall positions where a compact fitting is needed — beside a bed, flanking a sofa, or on a narrow hallway wall. The opal diffuser prevents glare and softens the light output to a 2700K warm white. The fitting is dimmable when paired with a compatible E27 LED or halogen bulb and a suitable dimmer switch.

The gloss red finish is applied as a multi-layer automotive lacquer over the ABS plastic body, giving a high-reflectivity surface that holds colour saturation under both daylight and artificial light. The polished chrome base provides a metallic anchor point and ties the fitting into interiors with chrome door furniture, taps or radiators. At 0.5kg the Ora mounts onto plasterboard with standard cavity fixings or directly onto masonry with plugs and screws.

Yes, when paired with a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The CFL bulb included is typically not dimmable, so most users replace it with a dimmable LED to use this feature.

What bulb does it take?

The Ora takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 15W. A 15W CFL bulb is included, but most users replace this with an LED bulb for longer life and lower energy consumption.

How far does it project from the wall?

The fitting projects 240mm from the wall surface. This suits positions where there is clearance to accommodate the depth, such as beside a bed or above a console table, but may be too deep for very narrow hallways.

Can it be mounted on plasterboard?

Yes. At 0.5kg the Ora can be mounted onto plasterboard using standard cavity fixings rated for at least 1kg. On masonry or stud walls, standard plugs and screws are sufficient.
