Description

The Nur II is a 400mm LED wall light built around an S-shaped acrylic tube that curves through a circular polished chrome backplate. The integrated 12W LED inside the tube casts 900lm at 3000K through the full 360° circumference of the opal white diffuser, creating a continuous ribbon of warm light without breaks or metal interruptions along the tube length.

Designed for hallways, living rooms and bedrooms where ambient lighting is needed without ceiling downlights, the Nur II provides a 120° beam angle that washes walls and ceilings with soft, even light. The 180mm projection from the wall places the light source clear of the surface, reducing harsh shadows and allowing the curved tube to act as a sculptural element. The polished chrome backplate is 160mm in diameter and mounts flush to the wall via a concealed fixing plate.

The S-curve configuration gives the Nur II a distinct profile compared to straight tube wall lights, making the fitting visible as an object even when switched off. The opal white acrylic diffuses the LED evenly along the entire tube length, avoiding hotspots or visible LED chips. At 0.85kg the fitting is light enough to mount on plasterboard walls with suitable fixings, and the non-dimmable 12W LED runs cool enough to install in confined or low-ventilation positions.

Is the Nur II dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and runs at a fixed 12W output delivering 900lm. Pairing it with a dimmer switch will not reduce the light output and may cause flickering or damage.

What room size does it suit?

The 900lm output at 3000K provides ambient wash lighting rather than task lighting. In a hallway or landing the Nur II works as a single fitting for spaces up to 8-10m². In a living room or bedroom it pairs with additional lighting sources to provide accent or secondary ambient light.

How is it fitted to the wall?

The 160mm chrome backplate conceals a separate fixing plate that mounts to the wall via screws. The backplate then clips or screws onto the fixing plate, hiding the cable entry and wall fixings. Standard UK mains wiring connects behind the backplate.

Can it be installed on a plasterboard wall?

Yes. At 0.85kg the Nur II is light enough to mount on plasterboard using suitable cavity fixings or plasterboard anchors rated for at least 2kg per fixing point.
