The Marvele is a ten light chandelier finished in aged brass, with a broad five arm frame that spreads light both up and down. Each arm holds a rounded shade of cased opal glass, softening the glow and spreading it evenly across a room. It is a generously scaled fitting, wide across and full of presence, made for rooms with the ceiling space to carry it well. The two tier arrangement gives depth to the shape rather than a single flat spread of arms.

This works best over an open dining table, in a hallway with a tall ceiling, or in a sitting room where you want a central point that draws the eye without shouting for it. The warm tone of the aged brass sits comfortably against both painted plaster and darker panelling, and the opal glass keeps the light gentle rather than glaring. It suits period homes and calmer contemporary schemes alike. Being for interior use, keep it to dry rooms rather than bathrooms or covered outdoor spaces.

The frame is steel with an aged brass finish, and the shades are cased opal glass. It is supplied with a mix of rods so you can set the drop to suit your ceiling, from a shorter hang to a longer one. It takes ten E14 lamps up to 40W each, which are not included, so you can choose your own bulbs and set the colour temperature you prefer, from warm white to something cooler. The fitting is compatible with dimmable lamps if you pair it with a suitable dimmer. It is a Class I mains fitting and should be installed by a qualified electrician.
