Description

The Capuccina is a white sculptural wall light with a shade formed from folded metal plates arranged into an irregular cone. The integrated 7W LED sits inside the cone and casts 630 lumens of 3000K warm white light through a 60-degree beam angle, directing light downward and forward from the wall. The shade's folded geometry creates shadow lines across the white finish when lit, giving the fitting a different appearance at different times of day.

Designed for bedside positions, hallway feature walls, living room accent lighting and hotel corridors, the Capuccina's 265mm projection from the wall requires clearance above bedside tables or furniture. The 340mm height and 125mm width suit standard wall heights of 2.4m or higher, with the fitting typically mounted at 1.5-1.8m to direct light where it's useful rather than into the eyes. The compact rectangular back plate fixes to a standard UK back box or wall plate.

The white powder-coated metal finish hides fingerprints and pairs with neutral walls, white woodwork and light-toned interiors. The folded-plate construction gives the shade a faceted appearance similar to origami, with each fold creating a defined edge where light transitions to shadow. At 4kg the fitting is heavier than typical wall lights of this size, reflecting the solid metal construction rather than thin pressed steel. How much clearance is needed above furniture?

The 265mm projection means the shade extends quite far from the wall. Allow at least 300mm clearance above a bedside table or shelf to avoid the shade overhanging the furniture surface.

What height should it be mounted at?

For bedside use, mount at 1.5-1.6m from the floor so the light directs down onto the bed rather than into the eyes. For hallway or living room accent lighting, 1.6-1.8m works well depending on ceiling height.
