Description

The Caelith is a 600mm circular chandelier built from carved Spanish alabaster panels alternating with brushed brass fluted columns around a central ring frame. Integrated LEDs rated at 32W and 3000K sit within the structure, casting warm light through the alabaster so each stone panel becomes its own glowing element rather than relying on a hidden bulb behind a generic shade.

At 600mm in diameter and 400mm tall, the chandelier suits dining tables of 1.2-1.8m, kitchen islands, lounge centres and double-height entrance halls. The 1500mm cable suspension is adjustable on installation, giving flexibility to set the fitting 700-800mm above a dining surface or higher in halls and stairwells. The circular silhouette balances above round, oval and rectangular tables alike.

Each alabaster panel shows different mineral veining, tonal banding and translucency depending on the section of stone it was cut from, so no two Caelith chandeliers light up identically. The vertical brass columns are finished with a fine fluted detail that catches light along its length, contrasting the soft diffused glow of the alabaster with sharper reflective highlights. The combined solid copper, aluminium and natural alabaster construction gives the fitting a substantial sculptural presence.

What ceiling height does the Caelith need?

The chandelier itself is 400mm tall and the cable suspension extends to 1500mm, adjustable on installation. For dining use the fitting typically hangs 700-800mm above the table, suiting ceiling heights of 2.6m or above. In double-height halls and stairwells the cables can be set longer to centre the chandelier in the open void.

Is the integrated LED replaceable?

The Caelith uses an integrated LED rated at 32W, 3000K, 230V. Integrated LEDs are not designed for end-user replacement. The fitting carries a 2 year warranty against component failure.

Does each alabaster panel look the same?

No. Each panel is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, tonal banding and translucency vary between panels on a single chandelier and between individual chandeliers. This is a property of the natural stone, not a manufacturing defect.

How is the chandelier cleaned?

Dust the alabaster panels and brass columns with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid household sprays, polishes and chemical cleaners on the alabaster, as the stone is porous and softer than marble. The brushed brass should also be kept dry to preserve its finish.
