The Arlen is a large outdoor pendant light that pairs a woven all-weather rattan shade with a black steel canopy. The open weave lets light filter through with a soft, textured glow, while the neutral tones of the rattan sit easily against most colour schemes. It takes a single E27 bulb rated up to 60W, and the fitting is height adjustable thanks to a generous run of wire, so you can set the drop to suit the space above a table or seating area.

Because it carries an IP44 rating, the Arlen is happy in covered outdoor spots such as porches, verandas and al fresco dining areas, and it works just as well indoors if you want the coastal look inside. It suits a relaxed kitchen, a garden room or a sheltered patio where people gather to eat and talk. The scale of the shade makes it a good fit over a dining table or an island, and the adjustable drop means it can hang low for close light or higher for a wider spread.

The frame is steel with an all-weather rattan shade built to cope with damp and changeable conditions. The finish is a matt black canopy that grounds the natural weave above it. No bulb is supplied, so you can choose your own lamp, and since the fitting takes a replaceable E27, the colour temperature is down to the bulb you pick, whether that is a warm or cooler tone.
