Description

The QTX VH2 is a dual channel VHF wireless microphone system built around a half-width 1U receiver and two handheld transmitters. It runs on two VHF frequencies, 174.1MHz and 175.0MHz, so you can have two people using microphones at the same time without cabling between them. Operation is licence-free in the UK, which keeps things simple for events, houses of worship, schools and small venues.

The receiver gives you a choice of output connections, with both XLR and a 6.3mm jack (quarter-inch jack) fitted so it works with most mixers and PA systems. It measures 45 x 210 x 180mm and weighs 573g, sitting neatly on a shelf or in a rack. Signal-to-noise ratio is quoted at over 85dB with total harmonic distortion under 0.2%, and the system offers a working range of up to 50m in typical conditions. Note that a maximum of two VHF frequencies can be run together in one combination.

Each handheld transmitter measures 270 x 45mm diameter and weighs 190g without a battery. The transmitters run on a single 9V PP3 battery each, and both batteries are supplied along with a jack lead, so you can set up straight out of the box. The receiver is powered from a 10Vac 250mA supply, which is also included. This is a straightforward, ready-to-use pair of wireless microphones for anyone who needs two channels without a complex setup.
