Description

This QTX speaker stand keeps things steady with a large steel square base measuring 48x48cm. The weight and footprint give you a stable platform, which matters when you're setting up a speaker or a single lighting effect in a busy room. Four rubber feet sit underneath to protect the floor and stop the stand sliding about.

You can set the height anywhere from 104cm up to 182cm, so it works whether you want a speaker low for a small space or raised up for wider coverage. The upper pole is 35mm in diameter and the lower section is 38mm. Adjust the height using the hand fastener, then drop in the safety pin for extra reassurance. The stand is put together with a 10mm bolt that screws up from beneath the base plate into the mounting pole. It supports a load of up to 15kg.

The base has a couple of practical touches. Two insert holes let you tidy cables away underneath rather than leaving them trailing, and integrated carry handles make it easier to move the stand between jobs or into storage. The whole thing weighs 7kg and ships in two boxes. Note that AV kit often uses 'stand' the same way on both sides of the Atlantic, though you may see 'speaker pole' used for the tube section in some US listings.
