Description

The Citronic XF-XM150BL is a 1.5m microphone lead with a female XLR at one end and a male XLR at the other, ready to run balanced signals between your microphone, mixer or stage box. The fully shielded design keeps interference out, so you get clean, reliable audio whether you're recording, rehearsing or playing live. This is the blue version, which makes it easy to colour-code your cable runs on a busy stage or in the studio.

Inside, the cable uses pure copper conductors with cotton reinforcement for strength, wrapped in a soft-grip, rubberised jacket that resists tangling and coils away neatly. The connections are machine-soldered for consistency, and the XLR plugs (also called cannon connectors in some circles) are die-cast with a locking latch, so they stay put and won't drop out mid-performance. It's a hard-wearing lead built to take the knocks of regular use.

With a 6mm cable diameter and 20 x 0.08mm conductor strands, the XF-XM150BL follows the standard balanced pin-out: pin 1 ground, pin 2 hot, pin 3 cold. That makes it a straightforward fit for dynamic and condenser microphones as well as any balanced line-level gear. At 1.5m it suits short runs from mic to stand-mounted mixer, patch bays or nearby inputs, and it pairs neatly with longer leads from the same range.

Frequently Asked

Is this cable balanced?

Yes. It carries balanced signals using a three-pin XLR wiring: pin 1 ground, pin 2 hot and pin 3 cold. This helps reject noise over longer runs.

What length is the lead?

It's 1.5m long, which suits short runs between a microphone and a nearby mixer, stand or input.

What connectors does it use?

One male XLR and one female XLR, both die-cast with a locking latch to keep the connection secure.

Will it work with my microphone?

Yes, it fits standard XLR inputs and outputs, so it works with most dynamic and condenser microphones and any balanced XLR gear.

What is the cable made from?

Pure copper conductors with cotton reinforcement, wrapped in a soft-grip, rubberised, anti-tangle jacket and full shielding.

Can I chain it with other leads?

Yes. The male and female ends let you connect it to other XLR leads to extend a run when you need more reach.
