Description

This is a retro-style guitar lead with a nylon braid covering, made for guitars, instruments and general audio use on unbalanced signals. The braiding is there to keep things tidy and to add a layer of protection for the cable running inside. It comes in colour options that suit a classic look, and this version is finished in black and blue at a length of 3.0m.

Inside the cable you get pure copper conductors with cotton reinforcement, sat under a soft-grip rubberised jacket that also helps resist tangles. The connections are machine-soldered to the professional die-cast 6.3mm mono jack plugs (often called a 1/4 inch jack in the US), so you get a solid, repeatable join at each end. Both plugs are straight, which keeps them easy to fit into most instruments and amps.

The lead carries a mono, unbalanced signal, so it does the job for a guitar or bass running into an amp or a DI box. The cable measures 6.6mm in diameter and uses a 13-strand, 0.12mm pure copper conductor. If you need a longer run, the same range is offered in 3.0m and 6.0m lengths, so you can pick the one that fits your setup. It is a straightforward, hard-wearing lead built for regular use on stage and in the practice room.
