Description

This Citronic guitar lead pairs a retro nylon-braid covering with practical build quality, giving you a cable that looks the part on stage and holds up in daily use. It carries unbalanced signals for guitars, basses, keyboards and other instruments, running from a 6.3mm right-angled mono jack plug at one end to a straight 6.3mm mono jack plug at the other. The right-angled connector sits flat against your instrument, which helps keep the cable out of the way and reduces strain on the socket.

Inside the braiding you get pure copper conductors made from 13 strands at 0.12mm diameter each, with cotton reinforcement running through the cable for added strength. The outer jacket is a soft-grip, rubberised, anti-tangle material that resists knotting and coiling when you pack the lead away. The connections are machine-soldered and the plugs are professional die-cast 6.3mm mono jacks, so the joins stay solid through repeated plugging and unplugging. In the US these are usually called 1/4-inch mono jacks, though the size and fit are the same.

The cable measures 6.6mm in diameter, giving a good balance between flexibility and durability, and this version runs to 3 metres in a grey and gold braid. The braided sleeve adds a layer of protection over the core while keeping the lead easy to handle. It suits gigging musicians, home players and anyone connecting instruments or audio sources that use unbalanced signals. This lead is one option in a wider range of colours, so you can match it to your kit or keep a set for tidy stage setups.
