The Chord SBMS1 is a mini boom microphone stand built for mounting mics at instrument level. Its low profile makes it well suited to kick drums, guitar amps, brass and other sources you want to capture close to the floor, where a full-size stand would be too tall or take up more space than you have. The boom arm reaches out to 450mm, so you can position the mic exactly where you need it without the base getting in the way.

One of the more useful features here is that you can mount two microphones at the same time. That gives you flexibility when you want to blend two mics on a single source, or capture the same instrument from slightly different angles. Both the height and the boom distance adjust, with height moving between 360 and 560mm, so you can fine-tune the setup for the job in hand.
