The AV:Link 4KS14 is a 1x4 HDMI splitter that sends a single HDMI source to up to four displays at the same time. It supports resolutions up to 7680 x 4320 at 60Hz, so it keeps pace with the latest 8K screens as well as 4K and lower resolutions. Connection is straightforward: plug in your source, connect your displays and you are ready to go. The slimline metal chassis has a satin silver finish that sits neatly in a rack, on a shelf or behind a display.

An 8-mode EDID switch lets you set the video and audio output precisely, so each connected display shows the right picture and passes the correct sound. Deep colour is supported at 8, 10 and 12 bit, and the unit handles DTS-HD, Dolby TrueHD, DTS, Dolby-AC3 and DSD audio formats. Maximum bandwidth (baud rate) is 40Gbps, with a transmission distance of up to 10m at 8K 60Hz. An RS232 serial connection is included for online firmware updates.

This splitter suits gaming and home entertainment setups as well as commercial and hospitality venues that need to feed several screens from one source. The operating temperature range runs from -15°C to +55°C, which covers most indoor installations. Because the EDID handling is built in, you can match the output to the capability of your displays rather than defaulting to the lowest common setting, which helps you get the most from your hardware.
