Description
The Adastra AH15 is a compact active horn speaker with a built-in amplifier, made for indoor or outdoor use. Because the amplifier circuit is inbuilt, you don't need a separate amp to drive it. It runs from a 12Vdc 1.2A supply (not included), and we'd suggest the 660.451UK power supply to go with it. Both the low voltage power and the line level audio feed in through a single 4-core cable, which keeps the wiring simple when you're running it back to your system.
The body is moulded from high impact ABS with an IP66 rating, so it handles rain, dust and general weather without trouble. It comes with an angle-adjustable stainless steel bracket for wall or ceiling mounting, letting you point the sound where you need it. At 165 x 140mm and 510g, it stays out of the way while still putting out up to 15W of output. The horn format keeps voice announcements clear over distance, which is where this design does its best work.
We see the AH15 used most often for voice alerts in CCTV and security setups, where a spoken warning adds to what the cameras are doing. It also works as a self-contained add-on for an existing public address (PA) install, since the amplifier is already on board. If you're after a straightforward outdoor speaker that only needs power and an audio line to get going, this one fits that job well.

What power supply does it require?
It runs from 12Vdc at 1.2A minimum, which is not included. We recommend the 660.451UK power supply.
Can I use it outdoors?
Yes. The ABS body carries an IP66 rating, so it stands up to rain and dust for outdoor or indoor use.
How is it connected?
It uses a single hard-wired 4-core cable carrying both the power and the line level audio input, which keeps the cable feed simple.
How is it mounted?
An angle-adjustable stainless steel bracket is fitted, so you can fix it to a wall or ceiling and aim the sound.
What is the maximum output power?
The AH15 delivers up to 15W maximum output.
