Knightsbridge Torlan 6ft 30W/60W LED Non-Corrosive Batten IP65 IK08 - CCT Microwave Sensor

The Knightsbridge Torlan is a 1828mm (6ft) non-corrosive LED batten with selectable 30W or 60W output, switchable colour temperature (3000K/4000K/5700K), and an integrated microwave sensor. The housing is moulded from anti-corrosive polycarbonate with an opal diffuser, stainless steel diffuser clips, and IP65 weatherproof and IK08 impact ratings. The fitting can be surface-mounted or suspension-mounted with optional accessories.

Designed for commercial, industrial and outdoor environments where corrosion resistance, impact resistance and sensor automation are required, the Torlan suits warehouses, workshops, covered car parks, loading bays, storage units, agricultural buildings and external covered walkways. The microwave sensor is fully adjustable for detection range and hold time, allowing the fitting to respond to movement within a defined zone and switch off after a set delay. The IP65 rating protects against low-pressure water jets and dust ingress, making the fitting suitable for damp or dusty environments.

The internal switches allow the installer to select between 30W (4,750lm at 4000K) and 60W (8,660lm at 4000K) output, as well as 3000K warm white, 4000K neutral white or 5700K cool daylight colour temperature. This eliminates the need to stock separate variants for different output levels and colour temperatures. The polycarbonate construction resists corrosion from salt, moisture and chemicals, while the IK08 impact rating provides protection against physical damage in high-traffic or industrial environments. The fitting achieves up to 164.8lm/W efficacy and carries a 5-year warranty.

How does the CCT and wattage selection work?

Internal DIP switches inside the fitting allow the installer to select between 30W or 60W output and 3000K, 4000K or 5700K colour temperature before installation. Once the cover is closed, the selected settings remain fixed until the fitting is opened again.

What's the difference between 30W and 60W output?

At 4000K, the 30W setting delivers 4,750lm while the 60W setting delivers 8,660lm. The higher output suits larger spaces or areas requiring higher illuminance levels, while the lower output reduces energy consumption in smaller or well-lit environments.

How does the microwave sensor operate?

The integrated microwave sensor detects movement within a defined zone and switches the LED on when motion is detected. The sensor's detection range and hold time (delay before switching off after movement stops) are both adjustable via controls accessible inside the fitting.

Can this be used outdoors?

Yes. The IP65 rating protects against low-pressure water jets and dust, making the fitting suitable for covered outdoor areas such as loading bays, covered walkways, car ports and agricultural buildings. The polycarbonate construction resists UV degradation and corrosion from moisture and salt.
