Description

The Antic is a two-light wall fitting with a pair of vertical ribbed glass cylinders mounted on a central brushed gold sphere and circular backplate. Each glass cylinder houses a G9 bulb (sold separately) behind the fluted surface, which refracts and diffuses the light output both upwards and downwards along the wall.

Designed for hallways, bathrooms (zones 2 and 3, subject to installation regulations), bedroom flanking positions and living room accent walls, the fitting provides both ambient and decorative light. The vertical arrangement suits walls with limited horizontal space, and the ribbed glass reduces glare while maintaining clear illumination. The 28W combined rating (2 x 14W per bulb maximum) keeps heat output moderate for close-to-wall mounting.

The brushed gold finish on the metal components provides a warm metallic accent that pairs with brass fixtures, warm timber interiors and contemporary colour schemes using greys, deep greens or navy tones. What bulbs does it take?

The fitting takes two G9 capsule bulbs with a maximum of 14W each (28W total). Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm white LED G9 bulbs at 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The IP20 rating limits use to zones 2 and 3 in bathrooms (outside the shower enclosure and away from direct water spray). It cannot be installed in zone 0 or zone 1 where direct water contact is possible.

Is it dimmable?

No. The fitting is not compatible with dimmer switches. If dimming is required, consider alternative wall lights from or other brands with dimmable specifications.

How is it mounted?

The circular backplate fixes to a standard wall-mounted electrical back box using concealed screws. The glass cylinders and central sphere are pre-assembled and do not require additional adjustment during installation.

Is this a wall sconce?

Yes. Antic is a wall-mounted sconce, fixed to the wall to cast light without taking up floor or surface space.
