Description

The Mangata spherical wall sconce features a crackle-textured clear glass sphere mounted between two polished chrome arms that extend from a circular wall plate. The integrated 7W LED sits horizontally through the centre of the sphere, casting 250 lumens of 3000K warm white light outward through the textured glass in a 360-degree beam pattern.

Designed for hallways, landing areas, bedroom walls and bathrooms (zone 3 only - IP20 rating), the wall light provides both ambient and decorative function. The chrome arms sit flush to the wall, positioning the 150mm-diameter sphere approximately 80-100mm from the surface. The crackle texture in the glass diffuses the LED strip inside, softening glare while creating visual interest when the light is both on and off.

The polished chrome finish on the mounting arms and wall plate reflects surrounding finishes and pairs with modern, contemporary and minimalist interiors. The glass sphere is substantial enough to suit larger hallways and open-plan landing areas without being oversized for standard 2.4m ceiling heights. The non-dimmable LED is factory-fitted and delivers consistent output at 3000K, which sits between warm candlelight tones and neutral white.

Is this dimmable?

No. The integrated 7W LED is non-dimmable and operates at fixed output on standard 230V mains switching.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating allows use in bathroom zone 3 (outside zones 0, 1 and 2), which is typically more than 600mm from a bath or shower enclosure. It cannot be installed within splash zones.

What size is the glass sphere?

The sphere diameter is approximately 150mm, and the chrome mounting arms position it 80-100mm from the wall surface once installed.

What colour is the light output?

The 3000K colour temperature sits between warm white and neutral white - warmer than daylight (4000K+) but cooler than traditional tungsten filament bulbs (2700K). The 80 CRI rating provides reasonable colour rendering for general residential use.
