Description

The Nuvem is a 2-light wall sconce built around two frosted glass disc diffusers held on a bronze brown metal bracket. An integrated 8W LED delivers 1040 lumens at 3000K through both glass discs, providing ambient wash light along a wall surface. The light is dimmable when paired with a compatible LED dimmer.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and landings where ambient rather than task lighting is needed, the Nuvem projects approximately 150mm from the wall and spreads light both upwards and downwards through the frosted glass. The 120-degree beam angle gives soft, diffused illumination that works well either side of a bed as bedside lighting, flanking a mirror, or spaced along a corridor at 2-3m intervals.

The bronze brown metal finish is a warm, muted tone that sits between traditional brass and contemporary matt black, pairing comfortably with both warm wood interiors and neutral greys. The frosted glass hides the LED modules from direct view and softens the light output, preventing glare when the fitting is mounted at eye level. The metal bracket and backplate give the fitting a solid 0.8kg weight that feels substantial once installed.

Is the Nuvem dimmable?

Yes. The integrated LED is dimmable when paired with a compatible LED dimmer switch. Check the dimmer manufacturer's specifications to confirm compatibility with 8W LED loads before installation.

What rooms is it suitable for?

The IP20 rating makes the Nuvem suitable for dry indoor locations only - living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, landings and dining rooms. It is not rated for bathrooms, wet rooms, kitchens directly above hobs, or outdoor use.

How far does it project from the wall?

The bracket projects approximately 150mm from the wall surface once the backplate is fitted. Allow clearance for the frosted glass discs when positioning near furniture or doorways.

Can it be used as bedside lighting?

Yes. The soft 3000K warm white light and frosted glass diffusers make the Nuvem comfortable for bedside use when mounted at pillow height either side of a bed. Pair with a dimmer for adjustable brightness before sleep.
