Description

The Albatre linear wall sconce pairs a 920mm alabaster bar with a brass frame, housing an integrated 18W LED strip that casts 300 lumens of 3000K warm white light through the natural stone. The alabaster diffuser softens the LED source and creates an even wash of light along the wall, while the brass frame provides structural support at both ends and adds a warm metallic accent.

Designed for bathrooms, bedrooms and hallways where horizontal wall lighting is preferred over pendant or ceiling fixtures, this wall light fits directly onto the wall via a rear-mounted plate. The 920mm length suits mounting above a vanity unit, along a corridor wall, or above a headboard as reading light. The IP20 rating makes it suitable for general bathroom zones (not within 600mm of a shower head or bath edge) and any standard interior space.

The alabaster bar shows natural mineral veining and tonal variation depending on the section of stone it was cut from, so each fitting has a slightly different appearance when lit. The non-dimmable LED runs on 220-240V AC mains and delivers a colour rendering index of 90 CRI, which is high enough for accurate colour perception in bathrooms and dressing areas. The brass finish on the frame provides a warm tone that pairs well with both contemporary and classical interiors.

Is this dimmable?

No. The integrated 18W LED is non-dimmable and runs at a fixed output on 220-240V mains. Attempting to pair it with a dimmer switch will likely cause flickering or damage to the LED driver.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The IP20 rating makes it suitable for general bathroom zones away from direct water contact. Do not install within 600mm of a shower head, bath edge or basin tap where water spray is likely. For bathroom zones 1 and 2, a higher IP-rated fitting is required.

Does the alabaster vary between fittings?

Yes. Each alabaster bar is cut from natural stone, so the veining, tonal variation and translucency differ between individual pieces. This is a characteristic of the natural material, not a defect.
