Description

The Albatre is a brass wall sconce with an integrated 13W LED module delivering 250 lumens at 3000K through a 180° beam angle. The linear brass body acts as both the housing and the light guide, distributing warm white light across a wide horizontal spread rather than focusing it into a narrow beam.

Designed for corridors, staircases, living room accent walls and bedside positions, the Albatre provides directional ambient light without glare. The 180° beam throws light up and down the wall plane or along a corridor length, depending on orientation. The IP20 rating limits use to dry internal spaces only. The fitting mounts to a standard UK back box using concealed fixings behind the brass body.

The brass finish shows as a brushed or satin tone depending on the light angle, with enough depth to pick up reflections from adjacent surfaces without appearing mirror-polished. The integrated LED is non-replaceable but rated for 25,000+ hours of operation, translating to approximately 10 years at 7 hours per day. The 90 CRI rating preserves colour accuracy in furniture, textiles and artwork illuminated by the fitting.

Is this wall light dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is not compatible with dimmer switches. Connecting it to a dimmer circuit may cause flickering or failure.

What does the 180° beam angle mean in practice?

The light spreads horizontally across 180°, throwing illumination up and down the wall plane or along a corridor. This wide beam is designed for ambient wash lighting rather than focused task light.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means it has no protection against moisture. It must be installed in dry internal rooms only, away from direct water contact or high humidity zones.
