Description

The Double Moon is a vertical wall sconce built around two clear glass spheres mounted above and below a polished chrome disc, on a black metal rod that runs vertically through the centre. An integrated 8W LED at 3000K sits inside the chrome disc housing, casting 950 lumens through both glass globes with a 120° beam angle. The black rod frame extends above and below the spheres, giving the fitting a total vertical span of approximately 400mm.

Designed for hallways, living room feature walls and either side of beds as reading lights, the dual-globe configuration provides balanced ambient light above and below the mounting point. The glass spheres diffuse the LED output softly, reducing glare while maintaining clarity. The chrome disc acts as both a decorative accent and the functional housing for the light source, with the vertical black rod providing structural rigidity and visual weight.

The polished chrome and clear glass combination suits contemporary and mid-century interiors where metal finishes are already present in door furniture, cabinet handles or other fixtures. The 80 CRI rating provides good colour rendering for general room lighting, though not at the level needed for colour-critical tasks. The fitting is rated IP20 for dry indoor use only and is not dimmable.

Is this wall light dimmable?

No. The integrated 8W LED is not compatible with dimmer switches and operates at full output when switched on.

What rooms is it suitable for?

The IP20 rating limits it to dry indoor spaces only. It works well in hallways, living rooms, bedrooms as bedside reading lights, and dining rooms. It cannot be used in bathrooms or outdoor locations.

How is it mounted?

The fitting mounts to a standard UK wall back box via the chrome disc housing. The vertical black rod and glass globes extend approximately 200mm from the wall once installed, so allow clearance for doors, furniture and movement.

Can the glass globes be replaced if broken?

The glass spheres are part of the sealed fitting design. If a globe is damaged, contact or Niori for advice on whether replacement components are available for this model.
