Description

The Orign is a rectangular LED wall sconce with a black metal outer frame and an integrated 55W LED strip running around the inner perimeter. The LED strip casts warm 3000K light inward onto a textured slate-effect panel and outward as a halo around the frame edge, producing 800 lumens across a 120° beam angle.

Designed for hallways, stairwells, living rooms and hotel corridors, the wall light provides both decorative and functional illumination. The rectangular profile suits vertical mounting on walls where traditional bulb fittings would project too far, and the combination of forward-facing wash light and edge glow gives ambient coverage without creating harsh shadows. The fitting requires direct mains connection (no bulb to replace) and operates on standard UK 220-240V 50Hz AC.

The black powder-coated metal frame measures approximately 180mm wide by 550mm tall, with a projection from the wall of around 40-50mm depending on mounting plate depth. The slate-effect inner panel has a textured surface that diffuses the LED light and adds visual depth when the fitting is switched on. The high 90 CRI rating ensures colour rendering accuracy, making this suitable for use in rooms where artwork, fabric colours or interior finishes need to be shown accurately.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 55W LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for approximately 25,000-30,000 hours of operation, which equates to around 10-15 years of typical domestic use at 5 hours per day.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

The IP20 rating means this wall light is designed for dry indoor locations only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms, or any area where it may be exposed to moisture or water spray.

Is it dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming. The fitting operates at full 800-lumen output when switched on.

What size wall space does it need?

The fitting measures approximately 180mm wide by 550mm tall. Allow at least 100mm clearance above and below for safe installation and to avoid the frame edges sitting too close to adjacent surfaces.
