Misterio Globe LED Wall Light - Black

The Misterio Mod379 is a 6W LED wall sconce built around a spherical glass globe with an iridescent finish that shifts between amber, pink and violet tones depending on viewing angle and light intensity. The globe sits cradled in a black metal bracket that mounts horizontally to the wall, holding the sphere securely while allowing light to project forwards and downwards. The integrated 6W LED produces 650 lumens at a warm 2700K colour temperature through the glass.

Designed for interior accent and ambient lighting rather than primary illumination, the Mod379 suits hallways, bedroom walls, bathroom mirrors (IP20 rated for Zone 3 only), and living room feature walls where decorative effect is as important as functional light output. The 120° beam angle provides broad wash coverage without hot-spotting, and the fitting is dimmable when paired with a compatible trailing-edge LED dimmer. The horizontal bracket projects approximately 100-120mm from the wall depending on globe diameter.

The iridescent glass changes appearance when the light is switched on - the warm 2700K LED inside the globe intensifies the amber and gold tones while the cooler pink and violet hues remain visible at the edges and thicker sections of the glass. The black metal bracket and rear fixing plate provide visual weight that anchors the spherical form and works across both contemporary and industrial interior schemes. At 6W and 650 lumens, the output is comparable to a traditional 50-60W incandescent bulb but with significantly lower heat generation.

Is the Mod379 dimmable?

Yes. The integrated 6W LED is dimmable when used with a trailing-edge LED dimmer. Leading-edge dimmers designed for incandescent bulbs may cause flickering or buzzing. Check dimmer compatibility before purchase if dimming is required.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

The IP20 rating means the fitting is suitable for interior use in dry locations only. It can be installed in a bathroom in Zone 3 (areas more than 600mm from a bath or shower) but not in Zones 0, 1 or 2 where moisture ingress is more likely.

What causes the iridescent effect on the glass?

The glass globe has a treated surface or layered construction that refracts light at different wavelengths depending on viewing angle. This creates the shifting colour effect visible when light passes through or reflects off the surface. The effect is more pronounced when the LED is lit.

How is the globe secured in the bracket?

The spherical glass globe sits in the metal bracket, which cradles it from below and partially around the sides. The bracket design holds the globe securely without requiring additional fixings visible from the front of the fitting.
