Flat Amber Glass LED Wall Light - Black

The Flat linear LED wall sconce delivers 1150 lumens from an integrated 10W LED strip within a horizontal black metal frame. The LED runs along the centre of the rectangular housing, casting a 120° beam angle that spreads warm 3000K light both upwards and downwards along the wall. The black powder-coated metal frame measures approximately 400mm in length and houses the LED module, driver and mounting hardware in a single sealed unit.

Designed for corridors, hallway feature walls, bedroom accent lighting and bathroom vanity areas (where IP20 is acceptable), the linear form provides directional wash light without casting a hard shadow beneath the fitting. The horizontal orientation suits walls adjacent to mirrors, artwork or architectural details that benefit from grazing light. The fitting mounts to a standard UK back box or directly to a solid wall surface depending on the cable exit position.

The black finish absorbs ambient light during the day, making the fitting visually recessive until switched on, when the warm LED output becomes the focal point. The 80 CRI rating provides reasonable colour rendering for residential applications, though it sits below the 90+ CRI used in gallery or retail installations where colour accuracy is critical. The non-dimmable driver simplifies installation but removes the option to adjust light levels after fitting.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

The IP20 rating means this fitting is suitable only for dry indoor locations. It should not be installed within bathroom zones 0, 1 or 2 (areas within 60cm of a tap or showerhead where water spray is possible). It can be used outside bathroom zones, such as above a door or on a wall away from direct water contact.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The LED module is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The LED has a rated lifespan of approximately 25,000-30,000 hours (typical for this class of fitting), which at 4 hours per day equates to around 17-20 years before noticeable degradation.

What width wall does it suit?

The linear form works well on corridor walls, feature walls behind beds or sofas, and vanity walls in bedrooms or dressing areas. The horizontal orientation suits walls at least 600mm wide to avoid the fitting appearing cramped at the edges.

Does it cast light up and down?

Yes. The 120° beam angle spreads light both upwards and downwards from the LED strip, creating a wash effect on the wall surface rather than a focused beam. This makes it suitable for accent and ambient lighting rather than task lighting.
