Description

The Basis Rot is a 12W LED track light built into a white aluminium housing designed to clip onto compatible 48V DC track systems. The integrated LED projects a 120° beam angle, providing wide flood coverage suitable for accent lighting in retail displays, art galleries, or residential track installations where broad wash light is needed rather than narrow spotlighting.

The fitting runs on 48V DC track power rather than 230V mains, requiring a compatible or universal 48V track rail system with a separate driver unit installed elsewhere in the ceiling void or nearby. This low-voltage approach allows multiple track lights to be powered from a single driver and simplifies repositioning lights along the track without electrical work. The white finish pairs with white or light-coloured ceilings to reduce visual weight.

The 12W LED output is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimming driver, allowing light levels to be adjusted for different times of day or display requirements. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments only. The aluminium body dissipates heat passively without requiring external cooling fins, keeping the profile compact at approximately 150mm length.

Yes, the LED is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimming driver unit. The driver controls dimming for all lights on the same track circuit, so individual light dimming is not possible unless each light is on a separate track run.
