Description

The Basis is a 24W LED track light in a white aluminium linear housing, designed for installation into compatible 48V recessed track systems. The integrated LED casts a 120° beam angle along the length of the fitting, providing wide wash illumination suitable for corridors, retail spaces and open-plan residential areas where continuous linear light is required without multiple ceiling fittings.

The linear profile measures approximately 1200mm in length and sits flush or semi-recessed within the track channel depending on the track system used. The white aluminium finish blends cleanly with white or light-coloured ceilings, making the fitting less visually prominent than black or metallic alternatives. The 48V low-voltage operation requires a compatible transformer and track system - this is not a mains-voltage product and will not operate on standard 230V wiring.

The dimmable LED allows output adjustment when paired with a compatible 48V LED dimmer, giving control over light levels for different times of day or room uses. The 120° beam angle creates a wide spread of light without harsh edges, reducing the need for additional fittings to fill gaps. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments - not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor installation.

Does this operate on standard mains voltage?

No. The Basis operates on 48V AC and requires a compatible low-voltage track system with an integrated transformer. It will not work on 230V mains wiring or with standard ceiling roses.

What track system is it compatible with?

The fitting is designed for 's 48V recessed track systems. Contact us to confirm compatibility with your existing track installation if it's from a different manufacturer.

Is it dimmable?

Yes. The integrated LED is dimmable when paired with a compatible 48V LED dimmer. Not all dimmers support 48V LED loads, so confirm compatibility before purchase.

Can it be used in a kitchen or bathroom?

The IP20 rating is suitable for dry indoor areas only. It is not rated for bathroom zones or areas where moisture or steam are present.
