Description

The Bubble Track Luminaire is a 3W LED spotlight built around a clear spherical glass shade held within a brass-finished aluminium housing. The LED sits inside a frosted white diffuser at the top of the glass sphere, casting 60 lumens of 2700K warm white light through the glass in a 120° beam spread. The fitting mounts to DC 24V track systems using a spring-loaded clip mechanism in the cylindrical brass housing.

Designed for accent lighting and ambient fill in retail displays, galleries, hospitality interiors and residential rooms fitted with low-voltage track, the luminaire provides soft decorative light rather than focused task illumination. The spherical glass diffuses the LED point source evenly, so the fitting acts more like a small decorative pendant hung from track than a directional spotlight. Track spacing of 800-1200mm between fittings typically gives adequate ambient light in a 3-4m ceiling height retail or gallery setting.

The brass finish on the aluminium body is a warm metallic tone that sits between polished brass and satin brass in reflectivity, pairing comfortably with mid-century, contemporary and traditional interiors. The spherical glass measures approximately 100mm diameter, giving the fitting a noticeable presence without dominating smaller room volumes. The 90 CRI rating means colour rendering is accurate enough for retail clothing and artwork display. The fitting is IP20 rated and intended for dry indoor use only.

The luminaire runs on DC 24V track systems and cannot be used on standard UK 230V AC mains track without a compatible low-voltage transformer and track controller. The LED is integrated and non-replaceable, with an expected lifespan of 25,000-30,000 hours at rated usage. The fitting is not dimmable and does not support external dimmer switches or control systems.

Can this be used on standard UK mains track systems?

No. This luminaire requires a DC 24V track system and will not work on standard 230V AC mains track. A compatible low-voltage transformer and DC track controller are needed for installation.

What's the light output like?

At 60 lumens, this is ambient accent lighting rather than task or spotlight illumination. The 120° beam spread and spherical glass diffuser create soft fill light suitable for galleries, retail displays and decorative residential applications. For focused spotlighting, a higher-output fitting is needed.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 3W LED is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced. Expected lifespan is 25,000-30,000 hours under normal usage conditions.

Can it be dimmed?

No. The fitting does not support dimming via external dimmer switches or control systems. Light output is fixed at 60 lumens.
