Description
The Basis track light is a 12W LED luminaire housed in a rectangular brushed brass aluminium body, designed to run on DC 24V track systems. The integrated LED delivers 400 lumens at 2700K warm white with a 110° beam angle, providing wide general illumination rather than focused spotlighting. The CRI rating of 90 renders colours accurately, making the fitting suitable for retail, gallery and residential environments where colour fidelity matters.
Designed for ceiling-mounted track systems, the luminaire clips onto compatible DC 24V track rails and can be positioned anywhere along the rail run. The rectangular profile gives directional light output along its length, making it useful for illuminating counters, shelving runs, artwork walls and corridors. The 110° beam spread reduces shadowing and hotspots compared to narrower-angle spotlights, so multiple fittings can be spaced further apart while maintaining even coverage.
The brushed brass finish on the extruded aluminium housing provides a warm metallic accent that pairs well with brass fixtures, warm-toned timber joinery and contemporary interiors mixing metals. The aluminium construction acts as a heatsink for the LED module, allowing passive cooling without fans or noise. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor environments - this is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor canopies or any area with moisture exposure.

Frequently Asked
What track system does it fit?
This luminaire requires a DC 24V track rail system. It will not fit standard 230V mains-voltage track rails or other low-voltage track systems running at different voltages. Confirm your track system specification before ordering.
Is it dimmable?
No. The integrated LED is not dimmable. Dimming would need to be controlled at the track power supply level, and even then this specific luminaire is rated as non-dimmable.
What's the beam angle suitable for?
The 110° beam angle provides wide general illumination rather than focused spotlighting. This makes the fitting better suited to lighting shelving runs, counters and corridors than highlighting individual objects or artwork where a narrower beam would be preferred.
Can it be used in bathrooms?
No. The IP20 rating means the luminaire is only suitable for dry indoor environments with no moisture exposure. Bathrooms, outdoor canopies and damp areas require IP44 or higher rated fittings.
