Description

The Calipso is a 30W track spotlight in brass-finish aluminium, delivering 2715 lumens through a 36° beam angle at 3000K warm white. The integrated LED module provides focused accent lighting with a CRI of 90, making it suitable for retail displays, gallery walls and residential track installations where colour accuracy matters.

Designed to fit standard single-circuit track systems, the spotlight mounts onto the track rail via a twist-lock adaptor that allows 360° rotation horizontally and approximately 90° vertical tilt. This makes it useful for directing light onto specific features - artwork, architectural details, kitchen worktops or merchandise displays - without needing fixed ceiling fittings. The 30W output is sufficient to light a 2-3m² area at typical domestic ceiling heights of 2.4-3m.

The brass-finish aluminium body provides a warm metallic accent that pairs with traditional brass fixtures, warm-toned interiors and contemporary spaces using mixed metals. The compact cylindrical housing measures approximately 80mm diameter by 150mm length, keeping the profile low on the track rail. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments only - not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor canopies.

Is this compatible with my existing track system?

The Calipso fits standard single-circuit track rails with a twist-lock adaptor. If you have a three-circuit or proprietary track system, check compatibility with before ordering.

Can the spotlight be dimmed?

No. The integrated LED is not dimmable. Attempting to use a dimmer switch may damage the driver or cause flickering.

What's the beam angle and spread?

The 36° beam angle provides a focused spotlight effect rather than a wide wash. At 2.5m ceiling height, the beam covers approximately 1.6m diameter on the floor or wall, making it suitable for accent lighting rather than general illumination.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the spotlight is only protected against solid objects larger than 12mm and has no moisture protection. It must be used in dry indoor spaces only.
