Description

The Calipso is a 30W LED track spotlight in black aluminium with an integrated 2740-lumen LED module running at 3000K warm white. The 36° beam angle provides focused accent lighting onto feature walls, artwork, retail displays or architectural details, while the CRI 90 rating ensures accurate colour rendering under the spotlight.

Designed for track lighting systems in retail, gallery, hospitality and residential spaces, the Calipso mounts onto standard single-circuit track rails via a rotatable adaptor that allows the spotlight head to be angled and repositioned along the track without tools. The 30W output provides sufficient brightness to pick out objects from 2-4 metres away, making it suitable for gallery walls, shop windows, kitchen counters and feature walls in living rooms with track lighting already installed.

The die-cast aluminium body in matt black finish dissipates heat efficiently and pairs with both black and white track rails depending on the installation. At 2740 lumens the Calipso delivers approximately the same light output as a traditional 250W halogen track spotlight but draws 30W from mains, reducing running costs. The non-dimmable LED runs on standard 220-240V AC and carries an IP20 rating for indoor dry locations only.

Is this dimmable?

No. The integrated LED module is non-dimmable and runs at full 30W output when powered.

What track system does it fit?

The Calipso fits standard single-circuit track rails. The rotatable track adaptor allows the spotlight to be positioned anywhere along the track and angled as needed without rewiring.

What distance does the 36° beam angle cover?

A 36° beam angle is classified as a narrow flood. From 3 metres away the spotlight illuminates a circle approximately 2 metres in diameter, making it suitable for highlighting specific objects, artwork or architectural features rather than general room lighting.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the spotlight is suitable for indoor dry locations only and should not be installed in bathrooms, wet rooms or any environment where moisture or splashing is present.
