Description

The Plato is a 7W track light with an integrated 3000K LED, housed in a cylindrical black aluminium body with a low-profile circular base. The fitting operates on 24V DC track systems and delivers 190 lumens through a 120° beam angle, providing diffused accent lighting rather than tightly focused spot illumination. The 90 CRI rating renders colours accurately across warm-toned interiors, textiles and painted surfaces.

Designed for retail, gallery and residential track installations where multiple fittings are powered from a single transformer, the Plato mounts onto compatible track rails via a twist-lock mechanism on the cylindrical stem. The 120° beam spread suits general display lighting, wall washing, and highlighting feature walls or shelving units where a softer pool of light is preferred over a narrow spotlight effect. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments away from moisture.

The black aluminium housing measures approximately 90mm in diameter across the circular base plate, with a total projection from the track rail of around 110mm including the cylindrical stem. The matt black finish minimises visual bulk against dark ceilings and complements both industrial and contemporary interior schemes. The LED is non-dimmable and non-replaceable, rated at 7W on 24V DC supply, which means a compatible track system with 24V transformer is required for operation.

What track system is this compatible with?

The Plato requires a 24V DC track system. It will not work with standard 230V mains track rails. Confirm your existing track operates on 24V DC before ordering, or purchase a compatible 24V track system separately.

Can the light be dimmed?

No. The integrated LED is non-dimmable. Attempting to connect the track system to a dimmer may cause flicker or damage the driver circuitry.

What's the difference between this and a spotlight?

The 120° beam angle provides a wide spread of light suitable for washing walls or illuminating larger display areas. A spotlight typically uses a narrower beam (15-40°) to focus light onto a specific object or detail.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The rated lifespan is typically 25,000-30,000 hours for integrated LED fittings, after which the entire unit would need replacing.
