Description

The Luna is a 5W LED track light with a spherical opal glass diffuser mounted on a black aluminium cylindrical housing. The integrated LED produces 300 lumens at 3000K warm white through a 120° beam angle, providing wide ambient light distribution rather than directional spotlighting. The track head connects to standard 24V DC track systems via a twist-lock connector on the cylindrical mount.

Designed for gallery lighting, retail display, museum exhibitions and residential track installations where broad wash lighting is needed rather than tight beam spots, the Luna works well in groups of three or more along a track run. The opal glass diffuses the LED evenly, avoiding visible hotspots or glare points when viewed from below. The black aluminium housing blends into dark ceilings and track rails, keeping attention on the lit surfaces rather than the fittings themselves.

The 5W LED draws minimal power compared to halogen track heads, making it suitable for systems where multiple fittings share a single transformer. The 90 CRI rating maintains accurate colour rendering for artwork, textiles and products where colour accuracy matters. The spherical diffuser measures approximately 100mm in diameter, with the complete fitting projecting around 150mm from the track rail once mounted. The IP20 rating confines use to dry indoor environments.

The Luna connects to standard 24V DC track systems via a twist-lock connector. It is not compatible with 230V mains track rails or proprietary track systems from other manufacturers without an adapter.

Is it dimmable?

No. The integrated 5W LED is not dimmable. Attempting to dim it via a standard dimmer will cause flickering or damage to the driver circuit.

What's the light distribution like?

The 120° beam angle and opal glass diffuser produce broad, even wash lighting rather than a focused spot. This suits gallery walls, display shelving and general ambient light along a track run, but not directional accent lighting on individual objects.

How many can run from one transformer?

Each Luna draws 5W. Total capacity depends on your transformer rating - a typical 60W transformer would support up to 12 fittings, though leaving 20% headroom for safety (48W used) is recommended, allowing 9-10 fittings per transformer.
